Donald A. Hicks, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hicks is an experienced software executive and entrepreneur, having previously founded Decision Science, Inc., the developer of the first off-the-shelf simulation-optimization package, and Llama-Soft, Inc., a maker of supply chain strategic planning and analysis software. Mr. Hicks has experience in leading software R&D efforts and running marketing organizations.

Mr. Hicks serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, and is responsible for building and managing the team which delivers all of the Company's solutions while expanding the company. Mr. Hicks holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Michigan.

John SantaLucia, PhD, Chief Scientist

Dr. SantaLucia is a chemistry professor at Wayne State University, and one of the world's leading authorities on the thermodynamics of DNA hybridization. Dr. SantaLucia's group at Wayne State University has determined a nearly complete database of thermodynamic parameters for Watson-Crick base pairs, all possible mismatches, terminal dangling-ends, terminal mismatches, and coaxial stacking interactions. These parameters allow for accurate prediction of DNA hybridization.

Dr. SantaLucia serves as Chief Scientist and provides the domain expertise necessary to see the product through to commercial effectiveness and to design the enhancements necessary for future product development in the areas of multiplex PCR, DNA microchip arrays, and other diagnostic applications.
