Fold Uni-molecular and Bi-molecular Species
Visual OMP's integrated DNA and RNA folding engine is the state-of-the-art. Based on hundreds of experiments, it is the only engine to include sequence dependent hairpin thermodynamics so OMP identifies hairpin formations that other solutions miss. In addition to finding the "optimal" structure, OMP can calculate "sub-optimal" structures to confirm the suitability of a binding site (see right two windows in the graphic). |

Identify Potential PCR Problems
Primers that fold such that polymerases can begin adding necleosides add noise to your experiment. Visual OMP helps you identify this potential problem and avoid it. Tolerances for Target Overhand and Min Template present are adjusted in the Settings window.
